FAQ

Common Questions, Answered

Here's what most golfers want to know before booking — and a few things people ask afterward too.

Do I need to be a good golfer to get fit?

Not even close. Fitting helps golfers at every skill level, and higher-handicap players often see the biggest gains, since stock clubs rarely account for slower swing speeds, steeper attack angles, or inconsistent strike location. A proper fitting adapts the gear to your swing, not the other way around.

How long does a fitting session take?

Single-club fittings (driver, fairway wood, hybrid, wedge, or putter) run 45–60 minutes. Iron set fittings run 60–90 minutes. A full bag assessment covering every club typically takes 2–3 hours.

Do I have to buy clubs after my fitting?

No. There's no obligation to purchase, ever. You'll get a full written report with our recommendations and can decide whenever you're ready. If you do order, your fitting fee is credited in full toward the purchase.

What should I bring to my session?

Bring the current clubs relevant to your fitting, the shoes you'd normally wear on the course, and a general sense of your typical scores or handicap if you know it. If specific misses or frustrations are bothering you, jot them down beforehand so we can target them directly.

How is a launch monitor fitting different from just trying demo clubs?

Trying to feel whether a club is "longer" is unreliable — your sense of distance and feel is easy to fool. A launch monitor captures ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, and dispersion on every single swing, so comparisons between clubs come from objective numbers instead of a guess.

How long does it take to receive my new clubs after ordering?

Most builds finish in-house within a week of ordering, since we keep components on hand and build on site rather than shipping orders out to a third-party factory. Complex custom builds or backordered parts can take a bit longer, and we'll always give you a specific timeline before you order.

Do you fit left-handed golfers?

Yes. Our demo fleet includes left-handed heads across every major category, and the launch monitor setup works exactly the same for right- and left-handed golfers.

Can I get fit if I already love my current clubs?

Absolutely — plenty of clients come in just to confirm their current specs are correct, or to check lie angle and shaft fit on gear they already own. Not every fitting ends in a purchase, and we're happy to confirm what's already working for you.

Do you offer follow-up adjustments after a build?

Yes. Any loft, lie, or length tweak needed within 30 days of pickup is included at no extra charge while your swing adjusts to the new equipment.

What areas do your clients typically come from?

Our studio sits in San Diego, California, and we regularly see golfers from across the county, including La Jolla, Coronado, and Chula Vista.
